As I was leaving the local WalMart, I saw a capsule machine with little robot toys for 50 cents. I just happened to have two quarters burning a hole in my pocket, so I got one. He stands about 41mm tall and closely resembles a Battltech Warhammer mech. He has two large lasers for arms and what look like missile tubes on his torso, four on the left, four on the right. The arms are detachable from the torso and the torso separates from the legs/pelvis. This may mean the arms and legs are interchangeable, which could make for customization. The toy is molded in tan soft/bendy plastic with some details picked out in blue plastic. A quick dip could make it look pretty snappy looking, although one could just pop them on a base and call it a day. These could work well as infantry walkers in a 15mm game, robots in a 25/28mm game, or even mechs in their own right in 6/10mm games. A simple set of rules and a $10 USD roll of quarters may be in order

My local Wal-Mart had them for a while, now there are some necklaces in that machine. My son got a couple of them. They are actually fairly well molded for cheap vending machine toys. |

I usually scan the machines for bits and bobs but have not seen these where I live. |

Found them in the $tree up in Decatur (AL, not GA or IL, soory). I got a few of them. Pretty nice for vending prizes. |

I love figures like that. By a bunch wait a year sell them on ebay for $2.00 USD each. |

I've seen similar robots – Macros style, in the UK. £1.00 GBP for a plastic ball with one multi-part robot. Try bowling alley's or Toys R Us. Tony |

Right after I moved to N. Florida, I saw these at my local Publix. I though they were too cool, and every time I went, I got a couple. As soon as cold weather set in, they ditched the vending machines to make room for firewood. I don't know where the machines went, I guess they had the vending company pick them up. I was ticked! I haven't seen them any where else, and I have looked :( And since the cereal prizes suck, too, my wife can't get me to go to the grocery store anymore! |

My local Albertson's grocer has these, but they're a dollar. |
