Did anyone get Combat Storm? How does it play?

I haven't played it yet, but I have given the rules a read through and they are pretty easy to learn, yet I still made myself notes because they have that exta detail to be not too simple. There are different soldier types like the Rifleman, Special Forces,Support Infantry, Sniper, Demolitions Expert, and Anti-Armor. There are two armies listed, Soldiers of the United States Army (green) and Soldiers of the MEF (tan). Both armies have the same types of soldiers, but there is a difference in thier skill, weapons, ranges and points. It also has two vehicles so far, tanks and transports. There is also extra stuff like a section on weapons upgrades so you can add grenade launchers for the M16A2, bayonets, laserscopes and all that sort of thing (with point values too.) I should be playing my first game in a week or two when a buddy comes up from Chi-town. Dude, you coulda just asked me in the last email ;)

Oh, I was going to use my Timme-Toy type Vietnam era Gi's since I have a million plastic soldiers, (and I really don't like those "combat Zone" ones at the dollar store that have been out 2 years…the ones with a mix of desert storm type guys and WWII airfix clones) so a new game/project gave me the excuse to buy more "minis" and I got one of those neat buckets at Hobby Lobby that have WWII airfix type US GIs, Germans, Japan, and British troops. I am going to use the Germans in place of the MEF, I won't modify any of the stats for the weapons, because it is plastic guys and I'm not worried about any kind of accuracy, it'll just been the Green country vs the Gray Country with allies being the Yellow country and the Light Green country for fun. I did grab some of those paper mache' houses at hobby lobby near the paint racks, those are perfect for army men and there are three different sizes with prices ranging from 1.99-4.99 (cheepo's like me print up a sheet of 40% off coupons and just run in there 5 days a week or twice a day for the big projects.)

Clonecommand, have you played yet? What did you think of the rules? Cheers!
