I'm thinking about running another Invaders WWII comic book game, and was thinking about including some of the Sub Mariner's Atlantean guards as backup. Do my fellow pulpeteers have any figure recommendations suitable for armored Marvel Comics Atlanteans? Did Heroclix release any sets of figures that represent Namor's people? Mulligan |

None from Heroclix to my knowledge, but try SuperFigs Shark Troopers – link Grimm has some painted here too link |

How about using some fantasy elves and just painting them blue? I would think that would look alright. |

Thanks, guys. Fantasy elves (LOTR) are my backup plan. I was hoping to find some figures with tridents (to be electric bolt-throwing tridents in my game)and some in swimming poses. I was thinking about using some of the SuperFigs shark troopers as bad guys. They've got a great Jack Kirby feel to them. However, I believe they're a little bit large re my Heroclix Namor. This may sound stupid, but from a heroic esthetics point of view, I don't want Namor's guards to be larger than he is! I do have a great Sharkman figure (the same Reaper Miniatures figure pictured on Grimm's site, as a matter of fact) that can be a henchman of one of the Nazi bad guys. I'm just feeling unusually lazy for this project and don't want to have to do much conversion work for supporting characters who are likely to be little more than cannon fodder once the slugging gets started. A famous Nazi Atlantian would be U-Man who was actually larger and stronger then Namor due to some kinda super=science. If you are a purest you would need to find troops with a fish bowel on their head as Atlantians could not breath outta water during WWII except for Namor, U-Man and a couple others. It was the Imperials that were scifi oriented. |

Nice figures, I have a bunch (which I've never got around to using), one day. |

Brian: Thanks for the suggestion. I remember U-Man! That brings back some memories. I may try making my own sculpt of U-Man, one of these days. I don't mind it if some of the bad guy figures are larger than the hero. I just don't think Namor should look like a shrimp compared to his own honor guards. If I use some elves and make conversions, I'll just take some kneadatite and sculpt some kind of chest plate breathing apparatus onto them. Mulligan "Ok, Axis, here we come!" |

Atlanteans have managed to hold the CEF at bay. The CEF had conquered its few, small, landmasses
however, they have not been able to make any real process in the Atlantean theater due to the fact that the majority of the planet's infrastructure is located underwater. |
