DIRECTORY of 15 MM FIGURES UPDATE
I've noticed a number of recent references to 15 mm figures and sites that are several years out of date. With your assistance, I will put together an updated list and post it at a later date. To be included in the list the range must be currently available – and verified as available. So, if you are a purveyor of a range or want to be sure your favorite AVAILABLE! range is included in the list, respond to this thread. While the focus will be on historical figures suitable to the period, collateral ranges that support the era can anticipate mention (as a for instance, Irregular's range of Animals provide numerous figures for decorating – or inspiring – a game set in Africa). Since VSF is a kissing cousin of colonials, ranges appropriate for that sub-genre will be included as well. Remember, range must be 15 mm (or 18mm) and AVAILABLE. A favorite range that nobody can find isn't helping anyone – people keep mentioning Frontier (a personal favorite of mine) but no one can verify a source. Look forward to scores of responses – but please check prior responses to yours to avoid having the same range and contact information (!) entered a dozen or more times. Thanks!

Your constructive assistance appreciated, your humorous responses tolerated for their entertainment, and those other responses – please divert to the compactor thread.

There is another site that covers lots more VSF on Mars stuff which includes the French and maybe others, but I can't find it right now. Plus Scale Creep's site is down right now and they may carry some stuff I didn't list.

Gray and Gory,

I update my list (although not as regularly as I'd like) which is the basis for DyeHard's list. You can find my list at: link

I haven't had a chance to add in the VSF stuff yet (love those Black Hat minis :) but I'll add another page with the VSF stuff at some point.

As far as Frontier is concerned, e-mail Tod Zechiel at Cellmate, he knows the guys at Tactical Edge (he games with them) and he might be able to help acquire some of the figs for you.

If there are any additions (or subtractions) please let me know.

Hey Joe:

I knew I owed credit to you, but still managed to for get it in my post. Sorry!

Of course feel free to grab the VSF listing I have at:
link

It is mostly in your original format, I hope that makes the addition go more easily.

It is good that this thread came along. It will inspire me to update my many old broken links.

Thank you for all your help again:

The Sudan Wars figures you have listed under Gladiator Games were Tenth Legion figures and are no longer in production as Steve Saleh withdrew all his ranges.

The Russians, Abyssinians and Zulus are still in production.

Nazrat left off the Arabs to fight the FFL by Stone Mountain. Dyehard got them on his list.

In reagrds to a detail list for Frontier in the Boxer area, they have Chinese, Japanese, Russians, Italians, Germans, British, French Indo-China, Americans. All of which can be used for other wars.

Spanish Foreign Legion, other Spanish. The Americans in the Old West and Bozer eras can be used in a Spanish Am War.

An outstanding list by Dyehard.

The unique item about the Frontier Indians is that interchangable heads to make them different tribes.

Feudal Castings: -American Civil War -Sikh Wars/Indian Mutiny -1850 Danish -1859 Austrians -1859 Piedmontese -World War I -Ethiopian Axumites: [in production?]

Yes. We rationalised the brands, so that Feudal Castings covers pre-1485, Freikorp15 1485-1900. See FK15 for the Sikh Wars, QRF for WW1.

Freikorp15: – mid-19th C. European – maximillian Adventure – Indian/Pony Wars – Early (Moghul) India – Spanish-American War – WWI Middle East (Turks, Anzacs)

Lot of photos of the Freikorp lines are now up, including all of the History of India range.:

Gray and Gory,

Last night, I finished updating my 15mm Victorian Era Miniatures web page: link

Right now, it is just a listing, alpha by the "manufacturer" (at some point, I'll turn it into a SQL database so you can search it more easily). I've updated all of the links and split the list up into smaller pages (including a separate page for VSF -- thanks DyeHard). I also indicated which of the figures are no longer in production (and/or "unknown" status) as well as a couple of "soon-to-be-released" ranges.

Please let me know if you find anything amiss or get any additional updates.

Thanks,

Joe
