This is the third (and final!) scenario involving the 119th Parachute Landing Regiment (106th (Tula) Guards Airborne Division) and their landings preceding a Soviet invasion in Northern Scotland in May of 1988. Glenn Dunny, Scotland, 1520GMT 5 May 1988 SITUATION Due to unexpected defenders at their nighttime objectives and fearsome counterattacks in the morning at Dunny and Dunnymuir the shattered remains of the 119th Parachute Landing Regiment is in full retreat up Glen Dunny – hoping to meet up with friendly forces coming ashore earlier in the day. Hotly pursuing them are elements of the 5th Battalion, 51st Highland Volunteers (TA) with attached American M1 tanks. See the full After Action Report (and pictures!) at my blog: link cheers, tim |

Nice report. I am a little surprise the russians were repelled by combined infantry, armour and air support, followed an assault in their rear. (tongue in cheek) Man, who would be able to stand with that lot? Regards, David – Ace wardepot.blogspot.com milsims.blogspot.com |
