Did you forget something?

It's not as good as this one:

Kampfgruppe Cottrell13 Dec 2007 7:54 a.m. PST

This one is the best!

Brian

jdpintex13 Dec 2007 8:06 a.m. PST

I didn't like them using T-80s as Tigers, everyone knows the standard set by Patton/Battle of the Bulge that you're supposed to use M-48s/M-60s to represent german tanks.

Sheesh!

Yankyaeger13 Dec 2007 8:09 a.m. PST

Maybe you (Terrement) ought to list or link whatever movie or subject you wanted to refer to in a later post. Evidently some folks are still enduring "Shell-shock movie syndrome" and are reliving their favorite movie critics in their own minds!

Kind of reminds me of "Alls quiet on the Western Front"

-Troy

Guy Innagorillasuit13 Dec 2007 8:13 a.m. PST

Best. Movie. Ever.

Third spear carrier13 Dec 2007 8:20 a.m. PST

Yawn! seen it already……..

Iberian Warrior13 Dec 2007 8:23 a.m. PST

Haven't seen it yet so thanks for the heads up ; )

GuruDave13 Dec 2007 8:29 a.m. PST

Darn! You've spoiled the ending for me. Now I won't enjoy watching it.

Achtung Minen13 Dec 2007 8:30 a.m. PST

I heard the remake will have Tom Cruise as a Nazi.

jpattern213 Dec 2007 8:43 a.m. PST

Troy, more like "All's Quiet on Every Front".

Cold Steel13 Dec 2007 8:53 a.m. PST

"Maybe you (Terrement) ought to list or link whatever movie or subject you wanted to refer to in a later post. "

Where is the fun in that? We are having a wonderful discussion as it is and now you want to ruin it by getting specific? Next thing, you will expect us to actually know something about what we are talking about. grin

The Tin Dictator13 Dec 2007 9:03 a.m. PST

Well, I for one have no intention of knowing what I am talking about and will refuse any assistance from anyone with the temerity to try and educate me.

Sheesh !!

The Tin Dictator13 Dec 2007 9:05 a.m. PST

… but I agree with Terrement.
It is a good movie.

Cold Steel13 Dec 2007 9:18 a.m. PST

Tin Dictator, nice hat!

60th RAR13 Dec 2007 9:18 a.m. PST

It certainly is unusual. I couldn't tell it was a war movie at all from the title. Figured it was some art-house flick.

Lord Flashheart13 Dec 2007 9:34 a.m. PST

They showed all the good bits in the trailer!

Old Digger13 Dec 2007 10:00 a.m. PST

It was too short, and I think the actors phoned in their performances. It's as if they weren't even there.

Ric Raynor13 Dec 2007 10:02 a.m. PST

I can't find it online, can anyone give me a link to an online store that has it?

Ric Raynor13 Dec 2007 10:03 a.m. PST

I just checked the local video store and they don't have it either.

nazrat13 Dec 2007 10:06 a.m. PST

I thought it was the worst ever. Horrible everything. And that TITLE!! Useless.

Achtung Minen13 Dec 2007 10:08 a.m. PST

Ric Raynor, I picked my copy up here:

mweaver13 Dec 2007 10:27 a.m. PST

Now he's baiting us…

Andrew Walters13 Dec 2007 10:33 a.m. PST

This may be one of the best threads ever.

Andrew

Andrew Walters13 Dec 2007 10:35 a.m. PST

You know what else? That was a very useful movie review. Short, to the point, and unlike most reviews its not limited to one film. You could use it one any movie.

Andrew

Macaroni13 Dec 2007 10:39 a.m. PST

Umm… are we a little old for this?

crhkrebs13 Dec 2007 11:34 a.m. PST

I loved the "hand of God" effect. Very spiritual.

Ralph

Martin Rapier13 Dec 2007 11:43 a.m. PST

In some ways the whole thread is an allegory for war, the confusion, the boredom, and that moment of stark terror when…we try the links and they don't work.

I saw a plastic version of SPR a while back, that was really funny.

tberry740313 Dec 2007 11:52 a.m. PST

I thought the naked sock puppet in the background was really not needed.

Nazrat: I thought it was the worst ever. Horrible everything. And that TITLE!! Useless.

But what better way to advertise a War Movie…than by using a camo'd title!!!

The Tin Dictator13 Dec 2007 1:42 p.m. PST

No, that's not the right one.

Look here:

WarDepotDavid13 Dec 2007 4:55 p.m. PST

The Tin Dictator13 Dec 2007 5:32 p.m. PST

Who is that on the soundtrack

I think its Donny Osmond

Streitax13 Dec 2007 6:09 p.m. PST

No it's Marie. Although I admit it's sometimes hard to tell the difference.

yowiedemon13 Dec 2007 6:54 p.m. PST

I thought the extras playing the corpses were a bit wooden.

E Murray13 Dec 2007 8:04 p.m. PST

The original was better.

The Tin Dictator13 Dec 2007 8:17 p.m. PST

I think I'd like to game this conflict.

But I don't have enough information about the scale, figure ratio, table size, or room temperature.

Can anyone help ?

Jay Arnold14 Dec 2007 12:10 a.m. PST

All the extras were farbs.

Ssendam14 Dec 2007 2:24 a.m. PST

I thought the Battleships were the wrong shade of grey which kinda ruined it for me.

vtsaogames14 Dec 2007 8:17 a.m. PST

The Zombie Old Guards were a little much.

raylev315 Dec 2007 6:32 a.m. PST

I noticed that the comments are the same after Terrement posted the link as they were before…..hmmmmmm

christot05 Jan 2008 6:54 a.m. PST

cheers chris

Dunadan11 Feb 2008 4:44 p.m. PST

Thanks for reminding me :) I need to pull this out again rewatch it. My favorite part is near the end when *SPOILER* happens; the expression on that guy's face is just priceless.

Greyalexis13 Feb 2008 3:25 p.m. PST

It home all the savagery of war. I cried just watching it.

Better than most of the crap that comes out of Hollywood.
