Hello Everyone,

On last Saturday November 3rd, we held held our 28th semiannual DBA competition in Winnipeg, Canada. (West-Central Canada's largest and oldest DBA competition) It's hard to imagine that the DBA tournament has been ongoing continuously for the last 13 Years.

The tournament attracted 10 players. This is the best turnout we have had in a few years. Thanks Guys.

The players fielded period III armies from the Early Medieval lists. Each player played five games, and at the end of the day everyone seemed to have had a good time. (Except for Sean who couldn't seem to keep his impetuous Knights under control ;>).)

Congratulations to the following players:

FIRST PLACE: Bill C. (Khitan-Liao) (That's victory number 13, incase anyone is still counting)

SECOND PLACE: Doug R. (Pueblo Cultures)

BEST PRESENTATION: Barry J. (Toltec, and a very nice Built-Up Area)

RAFFLE PRIZE: (Late Nomadic Mongol Army): Sean M.
RAFFLE PRIZE: (Osprey, Medieval Heraldry Book): Doug B.

Below are some pictures from the Tournament.

Thanks again to everyone who came out and made the event such a success and hopefully see you at the next tournament which will feature Period IV armies (High Medieval Period) sometime in early May 2008.

Homenick.

Thanks for posting this. I am originally from Winnipeg, now in Japan. There is a growing handful of people playing DBA over here in the Tokyo area so I will make sure they get your links.
