A terrain mats brand in Spain: 'Tapetes Melkart', miniaturesgames.com . Its website is in Spanish, English, French and Italian (press the button 'Idioma' at the right of its top bar to select your choice). It can take Paypal.

Cheers,

I have seen Hotz mats on the net but not in person. I hope a few guys bring them to Fall In! so I can see them close up. There was another company out there that does beaches as well that are first class.

Hi

I have just bought CY6 air game and this moning I ordered a 1.5" hex Green mat from Hotmatz, worked out far cheaper ordering from them than buying one in the UK, $48 USD including postage to the UK, about £25.00 GBP while similar mats in the UK cost £40.00 GBP

Will let you know how long it takes and service

But Hotmatz are good, from what I hear and you can also request your own design and modify theres, or have different size hexes on each side – or no hexes check hem out at hotzmats.com

Also, I'll be using a Terrain Mat naval mat for the General Quarters 3, Fleet Action Imminent games on Friday and Saturday night at Fall-In but not one with beaches.

I have a large collection of those now James. I have a generic sea mat, and another one with hexes, I also have a europeon one for air combat with hexes imprinted in it, well, the later is on the way…

Well, I have been buying mats from this guy for the past 3 to 4 years now, so you may need to start jogging to keep up ;-) i think I have about 10 or 12 of them now, everytime I look at his site, he has a new one that i need…

The Hotz Mats are good. We have three of Eric's Mats two of them were at Historicon this year, and all three will be at the next Historicon.

You can pretty much get just about any style you want from Eric. I highly recommend getting a double sided mat if you have multiple rule sets or scales.

Update:

Well, I asked my wife for a game mat for air/sea games and gave her all "the links" from this thread {All you suggestions were passed on} gave her my wish list then said "I don't need the top of the line, let the budget dictate which one you get if you decide to go that route…"

And I meant that seriously as we try to keep our Christmas a Christian religious holiday first, a family holiday second and a consumer holiday at least third. Santa has never brought more then one gift to each kid, ever. With two sets of grandparents (now down to my mom-in-law,) parents and siblings sharing gifts we kept Santa as 'low key' as possible. So I expected that if we could afford a game mat it would be one of the lesser expensive options and I would be happy with that.

Well, it's 'in the mail' per the e-mail she showed me Christmas Morning. It's 80 plus GBP. 6' x 8' IIRC. Yes, some details are still a bit fuzzy because it was completely unexpected. Am I in shock? I'll let you know when consciousness returns.

I always knew I had a gem in my Beautiful Princess…but seems I really never knew just how special she was until now. Now I need to clean out space to properly store it. This pretty much obilgates me to get off my %** and start painting seriously. Which is a good thing actually…

Yes, I plan to share this for aerial games over water and
naval/aerial games on Saturdays at BMHGA's local cons. I will just need to coordinate times with the scheduler of course to make sure I get my game in. <grin>

Hope you had a Merry Gaming Christmas too!

Gracias,

Glenn

It arrived yesterday. Apparently, from the boxes appearance, via either a Really P. O.'ed luggage handler or a soccer/footbal practice session. One spot, very small and on a crease had lost flocking. The directions includes a repair process that I will try after the new year. Have to look to find it so I am really excited to put this 6' x 8' baby into play!

Mega-jazzed!

Gracias,

Glenn

Congratulations Glenn, on having a good woman who takes care of you. And on the new toy. Enjoy them both.

I got a woman, she's so mean,
She sticks my boots in the washing machine,
Shoots me with buckshot when I'm nude,
She puts bubblegum in my food.
She's funny.
Wants my money.
Calls me 'honey'."
