Yup, 21 October. I've seen the advert in magazines but also couldn't find it by looking at the website.

After last year's various errors I'm hoping that all will be well and good this year so that I can attend and enjoy as usual. But not sorting out web info properly less than two months in advance isn't a perfect start.

For some reason their club site is on SELWG.ORG and the show details on SELWG.COM ?

They don't make it clear on the club page but do have links to SELWG.COM

Will there be signposts this year? (I mean more than just a "SELWG Wargames Show" at the very entrance.) I only ask because the local council doesn't seem to have been told WW2 is finished and they can put the roadsigns back up, and this supposedly "national" sporting venue doesn't seem to merit its own signage on any of the main approach roads.

In all the years I've been attending this show at this venue, I have never been able to take the same route twice!

Me also, I always get lost and its even worse going home.

Looks like they've got their act together better this year. Dave Thomas for one is attending which is welcome after the cock-up last year.

Dave Thomas! Perry goodness and cheap Foundry blisters! Woo-Hoo!

Guys
SELWG web site is selwg.com
The Show is on Sunday 21st October 2007 at
The National Sports Centre
We have 67 Traders and 20 Demonstration Games and the Bring & Buy.
Dave Thomas will tell you, as will I, that the error in him not attending last year was as much his fault/mistake as ours. Stop bitching and come and enjoy the Show.
Free parking and still only a £5.00 GBP for a whole days wargaming in central London, what more do you want?

>"Stop bitching"

Yeah, that's made me feel really positive about the Committee.

Arrigo27 Sep 2007 5:56 a.m. PST

mhmm,

how one can reach SELWG from NW london, exactly Hampstead campus?

BoltAction27 Sep 2007 7:08 a.m. PST

SELWG is cancelled.
Asbestos has been found at Crystal palace and they cannot use the building.
