Where: Steubenville, Ohio at Franciscan University of Steubenville

When: Oct. 6 from 12noon to 7pm

How: we will allow a table or several, as needed, to welcome miniatures enthusiasts looking to expose the public to their hobby. This would take place during our annual medieval festival, where 1500 to 2000 persons will visit the vendors, enjoy games, etc. You might rope someone into a wing commander role, or perhaps…

Cost: free… you need to set up, offer a demo, engage persons in play of your game, etc. we will try to locate table indoors next to the main events, with sufficient traffic flow to allow you to show off your minis and a battle or three…

Please PM me!!

As I posted this, I recall that I also meant to send out a call for help. A few years ago, the author of the Spear to Rifle rules ran a fun medieval minis battle here in Steubenville. I have lost the contact info. Anyone who can refer me? Please help!

How about running a jousting or tournament style game using large-scale figures such as 54mm? Something fast and furious like that might be more accessible to the casually curious rather than a full-blown set piece battle with smaller scale figures.

Since it is a long trip from the UK I can't really bring along my collection but just thought I might make the suggestion!

Mike, you may want to add other contact info, as only supporting members can use the PM function.

Good luck with your event. Sounds like a good idea to add some miniatures games to the show.
