Okay, the Chiltern ggs are very nice. But when I do the Trojan War with middle school kids, I don't need the distraction of 12 and 13 year olds tittering about the miniatures.

Does anyone make the main deities of the ILIAD without bare bosoms? 28mm to go with my OG Greeks and Trojans, or 54mm would be okay.

You could sculpt clothes on them!

doc mcb05 Aug 2007 3:08 p.m. PST

It might come to that.

Try the Wargods of Olympus range.

I've used naked figs with the middle school age kids before and they didn't even notice.

The kids may not notice, but some parents might. I've used nude figures which I needed to "clothe". What I did was to simply paint clothing over the "less than modest" portions of the figures. I worked with 25mm-30mm figures, and this worked quite easily, and you really had to look closely to know that it was only paint.

If the figures have anatomically correct sculpting, then a moto-tool, with the appropriate attachment (preferably a sander, but the cutting wheel will suffice, if you are careful…) will allow you to perform a little cosmetic surgery. You can also use an X-acto knife, with a sharp blade, to make minor alterations. Don't worry. The miniatures won't feel a thing. ;-) Cheers!

Huh, huh … he said "tittering."

I have been using Foundry Greek women. I think that they work fine.

doc mcb05 Aug 2007 4:33 p.m. PST

I'll take a lok at the Wargods of O range. And Foundry.

The male Chilterns will do fine.

Sarge, I may have to do a little extra painting, and maybe a little surgery.

So are any Olympians actually done in WARGODS? All I see is Spartans.

chaos0xomega07 Aug 2007 7:53 p.m. PST

They will be, in like a year…although the spartans are very very very nice…
