I overhead someone at the local game store mention that yellow dice roll truer than other colours because there is something in the pigment they use for yellow dice. Is this true or BS? |

Given the sheer number of dice shapes, styles and matierals, this smells of male bovine excrement. Based on what I know about plastic manufacturing (just enough to be dangerous) there can't be enough mass in a color dye to affect things one way or the other. Wyatt |

surely as long as the same colour is used all around the dice, then the dice will roll the same whichever way round it goes? |

Were the person(s) trying to convince you of this also trying to sell yellow dice at the time? :) |

Everybody knows that it's neither the color nor the material of the dice themselves that affects their rolls, but the purity of the roller's life. |

But it is a proven fast that red goes faster so why couldn't yellow be truer? |

I don't believe it either
but I have to confess when playing DBA/M I use a yellow die for combat rolls as I seem to have more luck with that one. |

Hence the mystical abilities of children and dice! Dammit, thanks for blow a hole in my "inverse relationship" theory!! |

I hear gaming products bought at a discount are more unlucky than ones paid for at full retail. Presumably your local store will let you pay extra to get the opposite effect

Verified truth this is. Yessiree. You do have to recharge them every five turns or so in your lucky armpit, of course. |

Go back and tell them someone on the net said the following: "The EPA has determined that yellow di contain a toxic chemical used in the process of making the yellow dye for the yellow di, and must be pulled from all stores ASAP. Not only that any other di that may have come into contact with the yellow di must be cleaned lightly with Methyl Ethyl Ketone to eliminate any contaminants. And, that after 1 August 2007 the production of yellow di must cease until the contaminant can be removed from the manufacturing process." That ought to turn the tables a bit. |

are those yellow dice african or european? |

Wow, where to start
First, what is meant by 'roll truer'?!? Secondly, what possible mechanism is offered up to explain WHY color would be effecting rolls, which are a function of size, shape, weight, texture, etc. I suppose at a great stretch, its conceiveable that some kinds of colors of plastic would vary more in density and consistency than others, and that thus would be more or less likely to have an uneven density when moulded thus creating slightly weighted dice. But that is really silly. Its all the same plastic really. Short answer: NO WAY! |
