Anybody see these yet?

I admit to being intrigued. I just got back from a tour of Saratoga and I'm thinking AWI again. I have boat loads of OG 25's but I just don't like them. These guys are just a tad over $2 USD a piece which is a pretty good deal IMO.

I saw these at Nashcon and they are very impressive looking.

Wow, those are very interesting… and, a great price, IMHO.

Thank you for the link; I've bookmarked the site.

Ditto on what David said. The presentation was nice and the box has everything you need including terrain. Its a good scale to game that period in as there are lots of 1/32-54mm plastic figs out there. These are all metal and I was expecting blobs for the price. They were very crisp. Sadly I did not catch any of their games at Nashcon.

Hats off to Ken for pulling off this project. I was fortunate enough to be able to paint a few of the prototypes for him. Yes, you can't beat the price for metal figures in this scale. I think he will offering plastic in the future as well.

Thanks for the link to a great set. I'd like to produce something like this myself. Am I correct that these are unpainted sets? (great value) and that they charge $120 USD to paint seven figures?

Cheers

Hey, guys! This is Ken Cliffe at All the King's Men. Thanks for all the kind words about my new website and the launch of my 54 playsets/wargames. I hope to get some discussion going about the new figures here on TMP. I already see that some of my buddies have been very complimentary! For now, I can answer any questions you have.

For starters, you're correct Neil that the Washington's Victory figures are provided unpainted. There are a couple pictures of them unpainted on the home page, but most pictures are painted for maximum "wow factor."

Also, I have sets of approximately 7 figures (typically 6 soldiers + an officer or ensign) for sale for $120 USD USD. Please check out the "Painted Figures for Sale" page for details.

These are my original figures, not other commercially available ones. (Ordering others involves separate conversion and/or painting, as addressed on the "Painting Service" page.)

If anyone is going to Historicon, look for my booth in the golf pro shop/vendor area.

Thanks,

Ken

Very nice stuff, and reasonably priced too. Kudos!

Ken,
Will you have Washington's Victory box sets for sale at your booth?

If I can finish a QRS for the rules in time, would you be interested in possibly making it available to others? (I would just be donating it to the cause.)
