I seem to remember these from a visit to a Railroad/hobby shop that was closing down years ago.

I wish I had bought a couple of armfuls of them when I had the chance.

What is the least expensive source for those Bayardi trees and stumps?

Okay. I found this from the "Michigan Toy Soldier Co.":

I think that the rest is very scale-specific (for BIG figures, 54mm or 1/35 scale or bigger, I think), but the trees and stumps are useful regardless of the scale of figures.

I remember the detail on those trees/stumps being, well, absolutely incredible.

Trees & Outcroppings:

MSR/26 Small Rock Outcroppings 3 outcroppings – 67.5mm long x 42mm wide x 23mm high $ 12.00

MSR/27 Large Rock Outcropping 110mm long x 70mm wide x 30mm high $ 10.00

MSS/23A Mini Tree Stumps 10 pieces $ 9.00

MSS/24A Small Tree Stump Set #1 5 stumps – 31.5mm, 17mm, 23.5mm, 5.5mm & 26.5mm high $ 7.50

MSS/24B Small Tree Stump Set #2 5 stumps – 23mm, 15.5mm, 31mm, 8mm & 28mm high $ 7.50

MSS/24C Small Tree Stump Set #3 5 stumps – 15.5mm, 8mm, 26mm, 14mm & 30.5mm high $ 7.50

MSS/37A Large Tree Stump Set #1 2 stumps – 46mm & 41mm high $ 11.50

MSS/37B Large Tree Stump Set #2 2 stumps – 42.5mm & 41.5mm high $ 11.50

MSS/37C Large Tree Stump Set #3 2 stumps – 41.5mm & 43mm high $ 11.50

MSS/42A Medium Tree Stump Set #1 3 stumps – 28mm, 40mm & 22mm high $ 9.50

MSS/42B Medium Tree Stump Set #2 3 stumps – 41mm, 44.5mm & 27.5mm high $ 9.50

MSS/42C Medium Tree Stump Set #3 3 stumps – 25mm, 47mm & 37.5mm high $ 9.50

MST/38 Dead Tree #1 118mm high $ 8.00

MST/40 Dead Tree & Rocks 58mm high $ 5.75

MST/41 Dead Tree #2 103mm high $ 9.00

MST/43 Dead Tree #3 108mm high $ 10.00

MST/44 Dead Tree #4 110mm high $ 11.00

There's gotta be a cheaper source somewhere though.

Its hard to match mother nature. So I use the real thing in the terrain I make. I spend a bit of time in the woods around my house looking for the right branch that has the look I want to see. then I take the time to incorporate into my terrain. I've gotten great comments.

Good luck

The best "deal" on Armand's stuff is to buy from his table at the MFCA show, held in early May in the Philadelphia area (US). He generally knocks bucks off if you buy in quantity, and usually has new items.

The quality of his work is unsurpassed, as far as I have seen. He was a jeweler in the past, and it shows in the detail he puts into his work. In addition, he is one of the best resin casters working anywhere today.

He adds to the line on a quasi-regular basis, and is always open to suggestions for new pieces.

I'm gushing, I know, but the stuff is very, very good. You can find cheaper, but you can't find better.

Headless, are you located in Western Mass.?

I'm in West Springfield, and there is a good group of painters and modelers in our area.

Don: "I'm gushing, I know, but the stuff is very, very good. You can find cheaper, but you can't find better."

My feelings exactly. None better.
