I've been looking for some landing craft for my 15mm figures and I've seen that Skytrex, Stronghold Miniatures and Paper Terrain make some. I'm particularly after some LCAs, but I'll also get some others for my vehicles (the Stronghold LCT is tempting!), and I was wondering if anyone has some experience with any landing craft from these companies? Just looking at the websites they all soom to have quite different approaches. The Stronghold ones are resin, the Paper Terrain ones are obviously paper / card, and the Skytrex ones look to be metal from the picture on the site. Any opinions on the relative quality? It's quality that I'm after, not the cheapest. Thanks in advance, James |

19th Century Miniatures and Armaments In Miniature also carry 15mm landing craft. Included are the very early LCP(L), LCVP, LCM-3 and two Japanese landing craft. All are resin with very fine details. |

Thanks for the quick replies. Dave: Yes, I've seen these. I should have said that I'm looking for something in the UK for resin / metal boats. Geoff: Yes, the BF ones looked very nice (they're what's inspired me to go hunting for some), but the troops are US (I play Brit), and the Brits used LCAs for their troops not LCVPs. |

Fair enough – I try to help, even if it means recommending another company :-) Now if you'd asked about Japanese landing craft, I would have mentioned that we have finally put a photo of ours online on the website

Gaming models make American and Japanese landing craft 3-4 types each. I have some, their affordable and look nice. |

Battlefront just came out with some. Saw them at my local Battlefront just came out with some. Saw them at my local FLGS but, as I don't do WW II I didn't get any. Looked pretty good though. |
