link If the paint apps are really as good as this, I'll definately pick up some. They rescaled it to 54mm. |

Yes, I read the article. I'm not interested in the game, but I'm looking forward to the figs, hopefully, somebody somewhere will stock singles

Will they be all bent up and rubbery? |

Help! Someone please save my wallet! I am a big fan of the Mutant Chronicles universe so this is excellent news. 54mm is a bit of a shocker but I guess they want to cover part of the gamers' market as well as appealing to the kids. 10 pre-painted 54mm figures in the Starter for 30 bucks sounds like a done deal to me. Where do I send in my credit card? Wait a minute- September! No! |

I'm left a little puzzled over the combination of 54mm and the hex bases (even multi-hex bases as with the nepharite) on the other hand. A hex system in 54mm? that will take a lot of room, no? unless it's some kind of heroscape rip-off. While I really like the setting, and enjoyed Warzone v1 back in the day, this is not at all gonna be down my alley. |

It's like the miniatures version of The Producers, Trapondur :) Actually, I'm not a fan of 54mm but the minis previewed look very nice. If the pricing isn't crazy and the randomness ain't too weird, I see folks using these to play Inquisitor and other RPG-based minis wargames. Of course, FFG does pretty decent rules so they will probably make nice figs for the CMG, too :) |

Oh yeah, I am all over this, love 54mm and I am already building terrain for that scale so this will work out perfectly. |

Wow. If the paintjobs actually look that good I can see me getting some. Not that I need another new game or more minis really. Really like the look of that Dark Legion guy. |

I'm wondering if the hex bases are being used to help players identify model facing and fire arcs, as well as limiting the number of ways models can be placed base to base for hand to hand combat. It would make it easy to say that a model is only in HtoH if the enemy mini has at least one full side of their base touching the defending mini. This makes it easy to see who is in HtoH and would also allow for quick identification of what facing a model is defending/attacking from if there are rules that require you to identify whether you are attacking or defending from the rear. Not exactly my cup of tea, but the minis look better than expected. Will hold judgement on the painting until we see what the "real" minis look like once these hit the stores. Jeff |

Nice paint jobs. I may end up buying some of the monster/demon figures to use in other games. |

I was a bit put off by the choice of 54mm too at first, but I've come to appreciate that 54's have a great 'presence' on the tabletop; they really stand out without having to stoop down to 'see what's going on'. |

I suspected that the 54mm minis were the prototype versions, but if that is the definitive size, I have no problem, really. I am out of Sci-Fi in 28mm anyway, including the plastic scenery from Tecnolog, except for the few Bauhaus and Imperial unpainted plastics I saved, so I can go for a whole new scale without griping about how it does not fit with what I already have. Still, this was not the size theey originally stated
Are they worried about people picking their stuff to use with other companies' goodies? Do they really want to go that dangerous route, alienating the tens of thousands of war and CM gamers out there? Then there's that "what units you want to find" line implying you will want to go through the boosters and boosters to find one with the exact minis you want, while getting other you may not need at all. I want to see the paint jobs because at $4.50 USD a random pop in each booster, these are definetely expensive plastics minis, size notwithstanding. The stater boxes are attarctive at 10 minis for $2.50, but the boosters' pricing are putting me off quite a bit. |

I like 54mm gaming myself so there is no worries there for me- but the $5/ random fig thing means I'll look for cheap stuff on ebay lol |
| The Beast Rampant | 28 Apr 2007 11:58 p.m. PST |
If I remember a rundown of the booster contents (almost a year ago, so, like the scale, it might have since been changed), there is one 'huge' mini per box. |
| altfritz | 29 Apr 2007 4:07 a.m. PST |
Ugh. Don't think much of the 54mm idea. For one thing, bad paint jobs will show up even worse so they'll really have to keep on top of production control. |
| Broadsword | 30 Apr 2007 4:14 p.m. PST |
Might be able to use some of them as giant mutants once they hit the after-market/ebay. |
| meatpuppet | 01 May 2007 10:40 p.m. PST |
wow, I'm a huge Mutant Chronicles fan, and I Loved Warzone V.1, I can already feel my wallet being sucked dry. |
| Thornhammer | 02 May 2007 6:58 p.m. PST |
54mm? Meh. I might buy a few singles here and there (for use as monsters, and anything I deem to look really cool), but that'll be about it. |
| Broken Halo | 29 May 2007 12:08 p.m. PST |
Great! I can use them with my Inquisitor figs. |
| DAWGIE | 08 Jun 2007 7:10 a.m. PST |
THIS 54MM SCALE IS NOT FOR ME! i liked a lot of the earlier l leads, and the rules were all right, but, i have other more interesting things to buy. DAWGIE

I hope the game is good.. I'll then use the rules for my 28mm Warzone figs..:-) Didn't GW try this "Big Figure" trick a couple years ago..? (You may not remember.. it dies reeeeeeal quick..) |
