Are Bicorne ECW 25/28mm miniatures still considered the "Best" quality figures? I'm thinking of either Foundry (all though their Army Pack at $460.00 USD seems expensive) or Bicorne. Both seem to be good figures. Opinions. |

I personally prefer Bicorne and Renegade figures, the two combined make for a larger and more varied range than the Perry/Foundry ranges All are nice figures though |

I am Perry man myself – but the Renecorn stuff is also good. Personally I think the Foundry stuff is really showing its age (both casting quality and hobbit-like sculpts). I'd only use Foundry for those odd and interesting packs (surgeon, blacksmith, petard etc). |

I concur with both above, Perries are undoubtably the best however they are at teh smaller "28" end and the range i s not complete enough to stand on ist own. Bicorne and Renegade are at the larger end but dovetail together nicely you can even intersperse the odd redoubt ensign and set piece for more flavour. There also looks to be some interesting developemnst from TAG that may come in handy. |

Another vote for Bicorne and Renegade. They are bigger and they paint up gorgeously. You do need to supply your own pikes in the case of Renegade. I actually think the variety of poses is better in the Renegade line even though the same sculpter is doing the Bicorne effort. Bicorne's artillery is outstanding (something Renegade does not have) with a full range of choices. The Perry ECW is very nice too but smaller than Bicorne. You can't go wrong with that line either. I've never seen the Foundry range unfortunately. Erik |

Bicorne for breadth of range and choice, the new heavy cavalry with carbines are great. Also included are wagons and carts with civillian figures. Very clean cast minis with no flash and 8 head varients per pack. You could not do better. Although the Perry's are very fine models their musketeers are poorly detailed and almost flat. |

"Although the Perry's are very fine models their musketeers are poorly detailed and almost flat." Not the Perry's I've got! But I suppose there's no accounting for taste ;-) |

I hvae Bicorne and Renegade mostly although I have to admit some of my Rengades are HUGE! (31-32 mm) Some do not completly fit on a 20mm square base. Love the figs and the details. I do have a unit of Perry pikes, and some foundry pike. They are nice figs, much slimmer and shorter. Alot of people make a big deal about the size difference. Yes, side by side there is no question. On the table? I don't see a big deal. It's not a display at historicon. Pick what you want I say. |

If I were to start ECW now it would be a very hard choice between mixing Bicorne and Renegade or Perry and Old Glory. On balance I'd probably go with the latter as I just like the physically smaller castings but I looked at the Bicornes at Salute and thought they were just brilliant. And so the debate would rumble on in my mind. Good job I'm stuck with what I've got

redoubt, renegade and bicorne mix well to make a VERY extensive range. The only problem (in some peoples tastes) is their size. SOme of the foundry stuff is rather dated actually. Perrys is excellent but even with both of them they dont cover half as much as the above. I recommend option A. Bicorne stuff for cavalry IMO too. |

One quick amendment to that. I do not mix within units. That does tend to look odd, but I have units from different manufacturers in my army. |

I cast another vote for Bicorne and Renegade, although I have some Perry stuff in separate units. I'm clearly going to be adding some Assault Group artillery at some stage
very nice! Giles |

Can't speak highly enough of Bicorne. I have some Renegade too but I'm not too keen on them. A lot were quite badly case and came with huge bits of flash that were a real pain in the arse to get rid of. The Bicorne range is pretty much comprehensive and the personalities are very close to their historical counterparts. The only thing is they're a bit taller than 28mm – probably closer to 32mm – but if that doesn't bother you then look no further! |

Another thumbs up for Bicorne ECW. As far as Eagle Figures, does anyone know if they are compatible with Bicorne, Renegade, or OG and Perry? |
