Take a look at the Osprey books, you'll see there not really all that much of a difference from other western – northen Europeans. |

Go with pretty much anty Western european style. By the latter half of the twelfth century the Danes were pretty much the same as other Western European kingdoms. Earlier (late eleventh to twelfth) you might mix in some more traditionally 'viking' or 'Saxon' types. By the fourteenth century they appear to be indistinguishable. |

The Danes (as well as the rest of Scandinavia for the most part) were very much influenced by German styles and fashions, in the same way England was influenced by French styles. When dealing with the period between 1100 and 1200, Danish armor tended to be a bit "old fashioned." So Norman type knights for mid 12th C might work, but when you start getting into the 13th and 14th C, armor was mostly contemporaneous with the rest of Europe, with a distinct favortism towards German styles (due probably to location and export markets)

There will be stuff on my website. link I think there was another company manufacturing Danish medievals in 1:72 plastic. I'd recommend Medieval Scandinavian Armies (1) 1100-1300 from Osprey. The Danes were fairly similar to the Germans, but I seem to recall that none of the scandinavian forces wore the 'great helm', They had Norman-like cavalry in the early period and switched straight to later version helments. I'll be doing this myself in 15mm in a few years time

Correction – Danes did wear transitional helmets, but not Norwegians or Swedish. |

Notice that the Danish in the (post-Viking) medieval times should have been wealthier than their northern neighbours – thanks to better agricultural land, more temperate climate, good trade routes – so they should probably look better equipped than Norwegians or Swedes. Griefbringer |

I remember reading in one source that the northern Swedes were well protected by coats of plate made from iron, this was do to the local mines. |

OO hi again. Mike is right the link to T S R will give you just about every thing that is avalable at this time. I also agree with Mike S and would do my Danish kinghts to look like they had a littil bit older armour, so the Norman Knights should work fine IMHO. |
