I have just made it back from a Victory at Sea tournament held at Mongoose Publishing's head office and much fun was had by all.

I know the whole idea of tournaments will put some off but I played 4 great games and the fleets on show were not all tricked out like you might expect in a competition environment.

You can read my report here >>> link

There are pictures following it as well.

Regards,

Dave

What were the planes you used? Great pics and sounds like a good game. I will have to buy the VaS rules if they come out with the supplements they are talking about. More ship stats and the pre-Dreadnought variant rules.

That was a great report there Dave – i will have to look closer at using smoke :-)

The planes are Tumbling Dice 1/600 aircraft purchased from Dom Skelton.

Just a little plug… All About Miniatures will be reviewing VaS in our April Podcast. It should be out next weekend…stay tuned. grin

'The draft cannot solve social ills. The only problem it is a solution to is "we don't have enough soldiers."'

For the record, I wasn't proposing the draft as a cure for social ills. I merely meant it was a sobering aspect of life for a generation that was raised much closer to and ultimately in the midst of nasty, shooting wars.

It will be interesting to see if 9/11 has any lasting effects on the current generation.

Eh? I never said that!

Yes Mal, but then what were you going to say?
RR THE WORLD WONDERS.

They should get someone to iron their sheets!

Oh…and I still never said that other stuff!
Its those black helicopters hovering over my house.

Sure Gallopingjack. That black helicopter thing is just an Urban Legend. They are really just a very dark shade of grey. By the way, there is an old shoe on your roof. Don't ask me how I know this…wink

Oh…that would be the shoe I threw at the last Helicopter.
