Personal logo Editor in Chief Bill The Editor of TMP Fezian writes:

This boxed set of soft-plastic figures have been painted for TMP by our friends in Sri Lanka, Fernando Enterprises. I asked them to follow the painting examples on the box.

This time, we have two identical figures waving pistols in the air – this presumably makes them officers or commissars.

The figure is wearing binoculars and the case hung on a strap around his neck.

He also has a broad belt with a holster and bag, and is wearing a soft cap.

The painters do the painting, and I do the basing onto LITKO wooden bases. For this project, I experimented with using air-drying clay to contour the figure bases into the wooden bases. This worked fine initially, but over time, the edge of the clay has become quite noticeable.

After the clay dried, I painted the base in muddy colors (the clay was already brown, which helped), then glued on flock, and sealed the figures with matte spray. LITKO FlexSteel is added to the bottom so the figures can be stored in magnet-sheet-lined boxes.

Still a few more to come!
