I liked the whole Silhouette rules system from DP9, the core of Gear Kreig and Heavy Gear; A design system that takes points OFF a vehicle type for "Design Flaws" or an individual vehicle for being a "Lemon" is pretty unique, and some of the designs for WW2 in the Gear Krieg game really benefitted from this idea. I am unsure as to what "Never caught on" really means, as it's abit like "Dead game" as a definition. You see tha occasioanly game of something but it's not played week after week at the club, does that make it a rare game? I mean, both Dystopian Wars 2.5 edition, Full Thrust 2,5 and WH40K 8th edition are frequently played at my FGLS at about the same frequency, yet only one of those is considered a "living" game. |
